Some evenings you plan. Others you remember. On Friday, August 21, 2026, APACHE STAR® drove out of Berlin — to a castle, a gala table on the lawn, and a runway that had never carried this collection before.

The setting
A castle night northeast of Berlin
Schloss Reichenow is a romantic castle hotel deep in the Märkische Schweiz, near the small town of Buckow. The occasion was an evening built on four words that rarely share a stage: fine dining, fashion, music and charity.
A gala menu was served in the garden, and between the courses came the Nightwalk itself. When the Brandenburg sky opened, the night moved indoors — into the ballroom, under the chandeliers, where candlelight turned a weather problem into an upgrade. The regional daily Märkische Oderzeitung reported on the evening — the rain, the runway and a menu full of riddles.
The premiere
A collection that had never walked
APACHE STAR® showed pieces from across the range that night — leather and down outerwear, tees, sweatpants, the signatures people already know us for. But one part of the show had never been on a runway anywhere: the GLOBETROTTER Collection.
Moderating the evening was Jan-Henrik M. Scheper-Stuke, the Berlin cravatier behind the Auerbach tie manufactory in the Hackesche Höfe and the style expert of the German edition of Netflix’s Queer Eye. And the night carried a purpose beyond the plates and the runway: a charity art auction for the German Brain Foundation.
We are not new to a catwalk. In March 2025 we showed at Paris Fashion Week, a show later picked up by ELLE and Harper’s Bazaar. GLOBETROTTER, though, had never walked.
Until that evening it had lived a quiet life — carried exclusively by our boutique placements on the Côte d’Azur, our store in Cannes and our placement in Saint-Tropez. Sold to the people who walked in, seen by nobody else. No campaign, no website, no runway.
Then the music shifted and the sets came out. Cream and white opened the story, clean and unhurried. Sage followed, soft and confident. A grey waffle set brought texture you could read from the back row. Beige grounded the palette. And then the exclamation mark: the black Pleated Sweatpants “CASUAL CHAMP” with the orange LONGSLEEVE SHIRT “BURNING BATTALION” — Apache Orange, the color that has been ours since the beginning.
Rugged luxury is not a slogan. It is a silhouette.
The hero moment
Barbara C. Engel in the FLAMING AVIATOR
Every show has one moment the room does not forget. Ours belonged to Barbara C. Engel — the Berlin fashion designer behind the HERZSPRUNG concept store in the Hackesche Höfe, and a true icon of the city’s fashion scene. She walked for APACHE STAR® and, as the press put it, cut bella figura on the runway — in the orange NAPPA LAMB PILOT JACKET “FLAMING AVIATOR”, our aviator jacket in Toscana Nappa lamb leather with a silky lambskin lining, worn over the black BOXY TEE “MANHATTAN” and the black Pleated Sweatpants “CASUAL CHAMP”.
Orange leather under chandelier light, carried by a designer who has shaped Berlin fashion for decades. That is the picture we will keep from this night. Thank you, Barbara — it was an honor.
The room
Honored guests
Among them a man who needs no introduction in Germany: Dieter Hallervorden, who came with his wife Christiane Zander. Sharing this castle evening with him was a quiet highlight and an honor we will not forget.
A good part of German television made the drive out to Brandenburg that night. Presenter Tanja Bülter and author and presenter Paula Lambert worked the garden with the ease of people who have done a thousand of these and still enjoy them. Business journalist Carola Ferstl came with her daughter. Couture designer Nanna Kuckuck, presenter Eva Imhof and journalist Jane Uhlig were there too. It was that kind of room.
Thank you
The people who made it happen
An evening like this does not happen by accident. It happens because a handful of people in one region decide to build something together. Our thanks go to the organizers: Julia ten Napel of the Strandhotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Buckow, Marcus Hacker of Ristorante Castello Angelo, and Jan Eilers with head chef Nico Zenker of Schloss Reichenow, whose kitchen turned a gala menu into a memory of its own.
For our designer and CEO Jessica Frühbrodt, the night carried something more personal. It was her brother, Nicolas Flessa, who initiated the connection and brought APACHE STAR® to this event — the quiet connector behind the loud runway moment. Some doors only family can open.
Nicolas is also the reason we want you to know about a place in the same region. In Buckow, in the heart of the Märkische Schweiz, he runs Wohlbehagen — a bookstore and meeting spot that brings people together through art and culture: readings, concerts, workshops, books new and used. If your travels take you east of Berlin, stop by.
